Dalbeattie Woods

Find all the information you need about walks and activities in Dalbeattie Woods and nearby venues on Scotland's Forestry and Land website. Parking requires the Ringo app for its £1 fee. The Kirkcudbright Fringe is back for its second year, promising a weekend filled with entertainment, culture, theatre, art and fun for all.

In its second year: it has already expanded from three to four days; from Thursday 5 to Sunday 8 September, the town will come alive with over 50 acts performing in 19 venues across the town.

2024 Quilt Festival

Shambellie House New Abbey, Dumfries

Join us for Shambellie House’s Annual Quilt Festival – hosted by the Quilters of Shambellie.

This year’s exhibition competition theme is Flora & Fauna. Make a quilted wallhanging 24” tall x 18” wide using any technique celebrating the theme Flora and/or Fauna. These will be displayed on a white background so consideration should be given to the binding/ edge of the finished wallhanging.
